Micro-Needling
What is micro-needling?
The insertion of very short needles into the skin for the purpose of rejuvenation. This can be done using a micro-needling pen (most effective), roller, or derma-stamp. There are many ways of doing this treatment but today we utilize micro-needling pens because they are superior to older manual devices. The premise is simple – create a small wound and the skin will respond with collagen production and new skin cells. Depending on the depth of the needle penetration, this can offer skin rejuvenation levels from the enhancement of product absorption to the clinical treatment of scars and wrinkles.
Micro-Needling is also called skin needling, collagen induction therapy (CIT), and percutaneous collagen induction (PCI). Almost anyone can have the procedure performed as long as they don’t have any active infections, lesions, or any known wound healing issues.
Micro-Needling can:
• Improve acne scarring
• Reduce fine lines & wrinkles
• Shrink pores
• Minimize dark spots
• Improve skin texture & elasticity
• Increase production of collagen & elastin
• 3000% more product absorption
